Music
Parents,
A few new music suggestions...
Continue to have the children sing and to teach you what they know. Encourage them.
Please have them review the rhythm symbols we have learned (Whole, Half, Quarter, and Eighth Notes)
and watch the video on rhythm (link below) for practice with these symbols.
Continue with memorizing the lines and spaces of the treble clef. (from bottom to top: e-g-b-d-f for spaces, f-a-c-e for lines).
I will send a 'musical' crossword puzzle in the next pick-up for them to practice.
Let's get acquainted with the greatest of the classical music composers: J. S. Bach, Wolfgang Mozart and Ludwig Van Beethoven.
Below are links to short introductions, for children, to these musicians .
Finally, it might be interesting for to see a very fine pianist their own age. Tiffany Poon is now in her twenties and plays all over the world.
Below is a link of her at age 11, playing Claire de Lune of Debussy.

Band - From Miss Tipple
Wind Band
Hi band kids! I've got some fun tunes for you to learn while we are all at home. It's always fun to learn some new easy tunes and keep your "chops" in shape for the next time we see each other. Let other band kids know about this email. Check out the assignments for your instrument. When you get a few of them up to playing, make a short video of you playing to share with the class, or at least me!
Here are some links to some fun easy tunes for you to check out. Have fun! If you get one up and running, video it to share with the class.
